“During my time at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Varanasi and Prayagraj in 2025, I witnessed one of the world's largest and most sacred gatherings, where millions of pilgrims come together in devotion, faith, and tradition. However, beyond the grandeur of the ritualistic dips in the Ganges, I understood that this festival is more than just a spiritual journey—it is a cultural phenomenon, deeply rooted in India's heritage.
Among the ascetics, sadhus, and devotees, I saw how modernity subtly intertwines with ancient customs. While the essence of the Kumbh Mela remains unchanged, younger generations are beginning to navigate a delicate balance between preserving their traditions and adapting to the evolving world.”
